Clarification on rule regarding APK submission date
Hi, I just want to clarify whether uploading a new version of the APK after the December 27 deadline is grounds for disqualification? I don't want to upload a new version on Google Play and risk disqualification.
However I noticed that a couple submissions have dates on Google Play of Dec 28 or 29, which seems to be bending the rules of the competition.
I tested mine thoroughly before the deadline, and don't want a disadvantage due to unfair time extensions.
The specific wording in the Rules is, from Section B-(iv):
"For sake of clarity, the name, text description, image, video link, and the link to the Application or the uploaded .apk file, as applicable, must all be submitted at the same time. All Submissions must be received by no later than 5:00pm Eastern Time, USA on December 27, 2012."
Thank you.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for writing and entering the AllJoyn Peer-2-Peer App Challenge. All apps must have been submitted to the app store by the submission deadline, but they did not also have to be approved by the submission deadline. Therefore, an app could be submitted to the app store before the submission deadline and then approved after the submission deadline.
Per the Official Rules:
"...All Applications submitted to the Competition must (i) be available for download and use free of charge from a publicly accessible app store or (ii) have been submitted to such an app store for distribution, such that, once approved by the app store, the Application will be available for download and use by the public free of charge during the Judging Period (in which case Contestants much submit the Application in an .apk file with their Submission, as further described above)."
Please feel to write me directly at support@challengepost.com if you have additional questions. Thank you.
Best,
Marny
